Vice President of Partner Acquisition

Summary

Software Logistics is presenting an exceptional opportunity for a qualified individual to join a technology startup at its inception. This role involves leading the development of a sales organization from the ground up, with the goal of growing revenue to $50 million within five years.

This position will start as a hands-on role focused on driving sales but will gradually evolve into managing the sales department.

Responsibilities

During the first 3 to 6 months, this position will be hands-on, working closely with potential customers of Software Logistics' product lines to drive revenue and gain a deep understanding of the company, its products, and the platform. Once a certain level of predictability in our sales cycle and pipeline is achieved, the primary responsibility will shift to collaborating with senior leadership to develop 3-, 6-, and 12-month plans, including budget forecasts, sales projections, and staffing needs.

Other responsibilities will include

  • -          Develop sales compensation plan based on long term revenue generation rather than a large initial sale
  • -          Working with marketing to help define what marketing materials are necessary and well as provide feedback on content
  • -          Hiring and management of staff
  • -          Working with product development to provide customer feedback and product feature requests.
Requirements
  • -          Demonstrated ability to build relationships and close sales
  • -          Demonstrated experience leading a sales team
  • -          Understanding both in-bound and out-bound sales processes
  • -          Experience using a CRM to manage sales, contacts and communications
  • -          Experience working with marketing to help define and provide feedback on customer interactions.

What You'll Get

A base salary will be provided, along with commissions based on sales performance. However, Software Logistics is seeking an individual who believes in our long-term vision and is willing to invest their time in exchange for an equity stake in the company. If your primary goal is to maximize short-term earnings, this position may not be the right fit for you.

Product Offering

Software Logistics' flagship product, NuvIoT, is a software development platform designed for creating IoT applications. NuvIoT significantly reduces the time, complexity, and cost of developing end-to-end solutions that acquire and process real-world data to deliver business value and life-safety systems. As we bring this core product to market, we've identified several opportunities to develop stand-alone products that could potentially be spun off into independent companies or divisions within Software Logistics.

Here are a few examples of these spin-off products that are ready to be launched:

  • -          Safety Alerting platform that optimizes the response to critical safety situations in schools, churches, government facilities and care facilities
  • -          Temperature Monitoring and alerting for K9 service dogs, pets and cargos in vehicles
  • -          Marine vessel sensor monitoring and alerting

Our sales model is focused on delivering long-term value to our clients, with the majority of our revenue generated through ongoing subscription

At the outset, this role will focus on refining the spin-offs and devising strategies to build sales teams for each product. However, the long-term objective of this position will be to capitalize on Software Logistics' core product—the tools used to develop these applications—and to identify new growth opportunities.
